Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings made with Lymo Rides, a licensed Private Hire Operator. By placing a booking, the passenger agrees to be bound by the following terms.
1. Contact & Booking Channels
1.1 Bookings may be made exclusively through the following approved channels:

  • The official Lymo Rides website.

1.2 No bookings made through any other telephone number, email address, or third-party contact method will be accepted.
1.3 A valid mobile number must be provided for all bookings. Text confirmation will be sent to this number. A valid email address must also be supplied where available.
1.4 Lymo Rides reserves the right to decline any booking made through unverified channels or where suspicious activity is detected.

2. Costs and Fare Conditions
2.1 All fares are quoted per vehicle and are stated in GBP (£).
2.2 Fares are calculated using the most economical and suitable route available at the time of booking. Should the passenger request an alternative route, any additional charges incurred—such as tolls, additional time, or increased mileage—will be payable by the passenger.
2.3 Quoted prices remain valid for four (4) weeks from the date of issue.

3. Vehicles & Capacity
3.1 Passengers are responsible for booking the appropriate vehicle type based on the number of passengers and luggage.
3.2 The driver reserves the right to refuse carriage if an incorrect vehicle type has been booked. In such cases, the full fare remains payable.
3.3 Portable wheelchairs and mobility scooters are accepted and will be treated as luggage. Lymo Rides does not currently provide wheelchair-accessible vehicles.
3.4 If the booked vehicle becomes unavailable, a larger vehicle will be supplied at no additional cost.
3.5 Any additional luggage or passengers must be declared at least 12 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Supplementary charges may apply.

4. Payments
4.1 Lymo Rides accepts payment by credit and debit card for bookings made online, via WhatsApp, or by email.

5. Bookings by Telephone
5.1 Telephone bookings are welcomed and prioritised.
5.2 Passengers are wholly responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all details provided. Lymo Rides accepts no liability for errors resulting from inaccurate or incomplete passenger information.

6. Booking Confirmation
6.1 Confirmation will be sent via text message to the mobile number supplied and via email where provided.
6.2 It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that all contact details are correct and operational.

7. Fraud Prevention
7.1 All card payments are subject to verification checks and fraud screening prior to acceptance.

8. Airport Pickup Services
8.1 Lymo Rides monitors all incoming flights.
8.2 No additional charge will be applied for early or delayed flights excluding delays caused by immigration or baggage processing.
8.3 Free waiting time after the aircraft lands is 1 hour. After this period, waiting time will be charged at £20 per 30 minutes.
8.4 Meet & Greet Service:

  • If pre-booked, the driver will display a name board at arrivals.
  • If not pre-booked, the driver will make contact using the mobile number provided.

9. Non-Airport Pickup Services
9.1 For hotels or private addresses, 15 minutes’ free waiting time is provided. Thereafter, waiting time is charged at £0.60 per minute.
9.2 For stations and Eurostar pickups, the passenger must proceed to the designated pickup point stated in the booking confirmation.
A Meet & Greet service is available for £20 when pre-booked.

10. Missed Flights
10.1 Passengers must notify Lymo Rides immediately if a flight is missed.
10.2 Prepaid fares are refundable minus a £6 administrative bank fee.
10.3 If the passenger boards a later flight, their booking may be transferred without further charge.
10.4 Failure to notify Lymo Rides of a missed flight will result in no refund, and the full fare will remain payable.

11. No-Shows
11.1 Failure to meet the driver at the agreed pickup point and time will be treated as a no-show.
11.2 In such cases, no refund will be issued, and the full fare will remain payable.

12. Journey Conditions
12.1 Journeys are planned using the safest and most efficient routes available.
12.2 Should a passenger request an alternate route, additional charges may apply.
12.3 If road restrictions prevent access to the exact pickup or drop-off location, passengers will be collected or set down at the nearest safe and legal point.

13. Cancellations & Refunds
13.1 Card bookings may be cancelled up to 12 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Refunds will be issued minus applicable bank charges.
13.2 For international refunds, any relevant bank or transfer fees will be deducted.
13.3 No refunds will be issued for:

  • Cancellations made within 12 hours of pickup
  • Incorrect booking dates or times
  • No-shows
  • Passenger misconduct
  • Circumstances where the passenger booked an unsuitable vehicle

13.4 Cleaning or damage charges:
A minimum fee of £25–£30 applies for soiling, spillages, or damage. Higher fees may be charged depending on severity.

14. Legal Compliance
14.1 All bookings must be arranged through Lymo Rides, a licensed Private Hire Operator under the London Private Hire Act 1998.
14.2 Direct bookings with drivers are prohibited, unlawful, and not covered by Lymo Rides’ insurance or liability.
14.3 In accordance with TfL regulations, the operator must issue booking confirmation including:

  • Driver details
  • Vehicle details
  • Fare information

This must be provided prior to the commencement of the journey.

15. Conduct & Safety
15.1 Drivers may refuse service where a passenger exhibits abusive, aggressive, or dangerous behaviour. In such cases, the fare remains payable.
15.2 Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles.

16. Pets
16.1 Guide dogs and assistance dogs are carried free of charge, provided they are harnessed.
16.2 Other pets must be declared in advance and must travel in a secure cage with a protective tray.
16.3 Passengers are responsible for any damage or cleaning resulting from pet transportation.

17. Child Safety
17.1 Child seats may be requested free of charge but are subject to availability.
17.2 Passengers may use their own car seats. Lymo Rides accepts no liability arising from the installation or usage of passenger-provided seats.

18. Liability Exclusions
18.1 Lymo Rides is not liable for missed flights, appointments, or events resulting from:

  • Traffic delays
  • Severe weather
  • Vehicle breakdowns
  • Road closures
  • Circumstances beyond reasonable control

18.2 Lymo Rides accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to passenger property.
18.3 Lymo Rides is not liable for errors arising from incorrect booking information supplied by passengers.

19. Tips
19.1 Tips may be given directly to the driver in cash.
19.2 Card-based gratuities are not accepted.
